In southeastern Iberian Peninsula aridity is the hallmark and everything turns around water. Not only natural ecosystems are marked by the water scarcity but also the society which for millennia used and abused water, degrading ecosystems and creating specific water landscapes.
The aims of this excursion is to reflect about water management in the area and its effects and ecosystems both in past and present times as well as to introduce a set of restoration projects aiming to reverse the negative impacts we witnessed along time.
